Folder SCAR Biology Symposium
The first Antarctic Biological Sciences Symposium was held jointly with IUBS (the International Union of Biological Sciences) in September 1962 and initially was held at irregular intervals, interspersed with symposia on human biology and medicine and BIOMASS. Since 2001, the Biology Symposium has been held regularly every four years, alternating with SCAR’s International Symposium on Antarctic Earth Sciences (ISAES).
