As we continue to adjust to our new ways of working, the Expert Group on Antarctic Biodiversity Informatics would like to help the community re-connect and revitalize collaborations. We are offering four small travel bursaries, each to a maximum value of USD500. These are intended to help cover the costs of a face-to-face meeting, and are available to researchers travelling to collaborate on any topic related to biodiversity science. This could include visiting a collaborating institution (or hosting such a visit), working face-to-face on an existing project, or participation in a workshop. Travel would need to be undertaken by 31 March 2023. Applications from scientists from countries with developing Antarctic programs, and from early-career researchers, are encouraged.
Applications will close at 1700UTC, Friday 21st October.
To apply, please provide a short (1/2 page max.) summary of your intended travel and costs (i.e. how the money would be used), and the work you intend to undertake, including a brief outline of how it contributes to the objectives of a SCAR group.
Apply either using this Google form or by email to [email protected] and[email protected].
