Workshop on Establishing a Polar Archive Network and Proposal Development of a Polar Archive Action Group


We are delighted to announce an upcoming workshop focusing on Establishing a Polar Archive Network and the development of a proposal for a Polar Archive Action Group within the framework of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) Standing Committee on the Social Sciences and Humanities (SC-HASS)

Dates: 17–18 March 2025
Location: Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, UK and online

This workshop will bring together researchers, archivists, and stakeholders from across the polar research community to explore the establishment of a collaborative archive network. Discussions will focus on drafting a proposal for an action group dedicated to preserving and making accessible polar-related archival resources for the social sciences and humanities.
