Smrithi is an environmental lawyer and social scientist with an interest in understanding how public policy impacts marginalised societal groups. She is interested in the role of science in helping achieve societal outcomes, with a particular focus on participatory and inclusive decision making.  Smrithi has a PhD in the participatory governance of natural resources from the University of Cambridge, and an LLM in international environmental law from the London School of Economics.
