Becs is an environmental social scientist with over ten years’ experience working in research institutions and conservation NGOs in Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Madagascar, the Pacific, and Antarctica. Her research interests include environmental social science, conservation science, environmental narratives, values, knowledge, science-policy-action, futures thinking, systems thinking, political ecology, governance, adaptation, transformation, science communication and transdisciplinary thinking. She is particularly interested in the dynamic relationships between nature, science, and society, and what these relationships mean for the future of people and planet.
