Andrew Gray
University of Edinburgh
Andrew investigates Antarctica’s ecosystems, using ground-based observations, UAVs and satellites to monitor and predict changes on a continental scale. They are incorporating remote sensing observations into climate models to explore how climate change may effect Antarctica’s biosphere.
Current research projects / interests:
- Snow algal ecology
- Antarctic vegetation remote observation
- Nutrient biogeochemistry
- Remote monitoring of biology and the human footprint in Antarctica
- Climate/ecosystem couplings
