The International Science Council (ISC) Unlocking Science series, produced in partnership with BBC StoryWorks, was voted best ‘Video Series’ category at the prestigious Digital Communications Awards (DCA).
SCAR was excited to be featured in the Unlocking Science series with the dynamic article “What Antarctica can teach us about global climate change“. The article highlights how SCAR brings together scientists from different disciplines and countries to make more precise predictions about future climate change. Stressing that the Antarctic ice sheets are an incredibly valuable resource for scientific understanding and mitigating climate change, it explores the work of our overarching current and past Scientific Research Programmes PAIS, SERCE and INSTANT.
We are delighted that the Unlocking Science series was voted best video series and and hope the series continue to unveil the complex aspects of science.
