Following the publication of the report on Southern Ocean priorities for the next 10 years, the team are pleased to announce that the Southern Ocean Task Force will be hosting a Kick-off meeting for the Southern Ocean UN Decade online on the 9th July 2021.
This webinar will gather speakers from the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO and members of the Southern Ocean Task Force. The meeting will provide you with an overview of the Southern Ocean contribution to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. You will know at what stage we are in the Southern Ocean process and we will let you know when and how you can get involved.
If you are interested in joining the Southern Ocean process, don’t miss the opportunity to learn when and how you can get involved!
To accommodate both Western and Eastern participants, the organisers will be hosting two sessions:
- Session 1 at 07:00 UTC
- Register here
- Session 2 at 17:00 UTC
- Register here
If you haven’t already done so, you still have until this Friday (25th June 2021) to fill our survey to provide the team with your insights into how Southern Ocean science should evolve over the coming years to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
