This is just a quick reminder that the early bird registration deadline for the POLAR2018 Open Science Conference is on Saturday 31 March (midnight CET). After this, the price will go up to the full rate.
To register, please go to the POLAR2018 website: www.polar2018.org/registration.html
The registration fee includes:
- Access to OSC and use of meeting rooms during pre-defined time-slots
- Welcome reception (drinks and snacks) on Tuesday, 19 June 2018
- Coffee breaks/refreshments twice a day (10.30am and 3.30pm)
- 3 poster & beer sessions (free beer and non-alcoholic drinks)
- Conference bag
- Hotel booking assistance
When you register, you can book your accommodation through the same system – a complete list of hotels, hostels and holiday apartments to suit every budget is available (examples on www.polar2018.org/accommodation). The use of public transport, as well as the mountain cable cars, are included in the price of accommodation, although coming to a small town in the mountains has the advantage that everything is close by – no need to consider long trips to the congress centre – just a short walk and you are there.
Travelling to Davos is best done by train, the nearest international airport being Zurich, some well-connected 150 km away from Davos. The train ride through the picturesque pre-alpine and alpine environment is a special experience. Davos, Europe’s highest city, is situated in the Eastern part of the Swiss Alps at 1560 meters above sea level. The stunning alpine environment will ensure your visit is an enjoyable experience.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Davos in June 2018!
