The 36th Forum for Research into Ice Shelf Processes (FRISP 2023) was held in beautiful Stalheim, near Bergen in Norway, in June 2023. The meeting brought together 80 researchers from around the world for three days of fruitful discussion, exciting presentations, and networking opportunities.
While FRISP meetings have been running for over 35 years, this year around 40% were first-time participants. That the field is growing and is training the next generation of researchers is clear: almost 70% of FRISP 2023 participants were Master students, PhD students, or early-career researchers!
