Humanities at APECS Online Conference

HASS APECS 2016 Online Conference webHumanities research was represented at the 2016 Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) Online Conference, with HASSEG members Miranda Nieboer presenting on “Antarctic Interiors through architectural eyes” and Hanne Nielsen presenting on “Antarctic Cows: Sponsorship, Celebrity, and Colonisation” (Session 1). Their presentations can be viewed at APECS Online Conference 2016 – Session 1 (starting at 1:27:00:) from APECS Webinars on Vimeo.

There were a range of other speakers addressing topics from the humanities and social sciences, including a talk in session 2 on Antarctic literature, and in session 5 on Arctic heritage protection.
