The programme for Antarctic RINGS Action Group’s first international workshop has been released.
The primary goal of the workshop is to generate synergies and international cooperation to develop more accurate and complete reference bed topography data for robust assessments of ice discharge from all around Antarctica. The secondary goal is to discuss relevant science plans for the ice sheet’s marginal zone. To achieve these goals, we aim to have diverse, multidisciplinary participants including (but not limited to) specialists in geophysics, geology, glaciology, oceanography, satellite observations, and modeling of the ice, ocean and atmosphere.
The 4-day workshop will be held in Malangen Resort near Tromsø from 27-30 June. Action Group members and non-members from multiple disciplines related to RINGS are welcome and early-career researchers are strongly encouraged to attend. For those who are unable to travel to the workshop, talks will be broadcast and some sessions are open for online participants to interact with the speaker and onsite participants.
Full details are in the workshop programme.
Registration remains open for online participants only. If you would like to attend virtually, please register by 25 June via the online registration form.
