The 2020 Antarctic Science International Bursary is now open for applications. The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) will also be running a webinar sessions to support applicants. Details below.
The ASI Bursary
The ASI Bursary supports the careers of young scientists working in Antarctic Science and is open to applicants from anywhere in the world. Grants of up to £6000 are awarded to extend the scope of an existing research project through:
- Funding extra field or laboratory work
- purchasing/contributing towards the cost of a key piece of equipment
- Funding International collaboration or the learning of new skills
The deadline is 24:00 on 13th March 2020 (GMT).
Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD or employed as an early career researcher (up to 10 years after PhD).

Webinar session
To support applicants, APECS is running a webinar sessions in which applicants can speak to people on the bursary panel and past recipients.
