Rebecca Hingley

Rebecca is a PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania researching the relationship between Antarctic geopolitics and heritage. Throughout her candidature she has presented at several conferences including SCAR Standing Committee – Humanities and Social Science’s conferences, the Polar Law Symposium, the Australian Geographers’ conference, and the Association of Critical Heritage Studies’ conference.
In 2020 Rebecca is undertaking an internship with the Australian Antarctic Division, is co-convening the Heritage session at the SCAR Open Science Conference, and is helping organise the Australian Antarctic Festival. She is also a council member of the Association of Early Career Scientists Oceania, is a featured researcher for Women in Polar Science, and is an associate member of the International Polar Heritage Committee.
