Elisa Dupuis is a doctoral student in art history and contemporary archaeology at Sorbonne University (France). Her research focuses on human cultural processes, in particular inhabiting, which she studies through the polar and sub-Antarctic bases operated by France. This work is part of the HABITANT program (“inhabiting and being inhabited by Antarctica”), which is supported by the French Polar Institute (IPEV) since 2020. She also works at the Archives nationales de France on the heritage collections of the polar territories and overseas.
