Creating Merged Observation Data Formats (MODFs) for King Sejong Station Data, Northern Antarctic Peninsula.
This project was an effort to use raw and processed observation data from King Sejong station to create NetCDF datafile using MDF python toolkit, following the Year Of Polar Prediction (YOPP) conventions. The framework of the YOPP sites Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (YOPPsiteMIIP) is part of WMO World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) Polar Prediction Project. YOPPsiteMIIP has been running at selected Arctic and Antarctic supersites with multi-variate observations contributing to the YOPP efforts of evaluating and improving numerical prediction systems in polar regions, and advancing process understanding.
