Daniela Liggett is Professor at Gateway Antarctica, School of Earth and Environment at the University of Canterbury and is currently one of the Chief Officers of Ant-ICON (Integrated Science to Inform Antarctic and Southern Ocean Conservation), one of SCAR’s Scientific Research Programmes. She is particularly interested in qualitative research, which crosses different disciplines and challenges conventional research paradigms. Daniela’s research interests include Antarctic environmental governance and human engagement with the polar regions as well as complex polar futures. She is co-leading the WMO’s World Weather Research Programme’s “Polar Coupled Analysis and Prediction for Services” (PCAPS) research project and has contributed to UN Environment’s Global Environmental Outlook.
