Ocean Antarctic Climate Indicators

Development of a toolbox to analyse and describe the oceanic state around Antarctica/Southern ocean based on ORAS5 reanalysis product. At present there is a large gap in oceanic metrics for the ACI within AntClimNow. This toolbox would complement atmospheric and sea-ice metrics and allow a more holistic view about the climate state/variability around Antarctica and Southern Ocean. This oceanic toolbox (code+data) and metrics will be open source so it can be used as a references/resource for other researchers. The requested funding is needed to cover human resources so the toolbox can be developed to scientific standards and to be used by other researchers.
