Happy Polar Pride Day 2021!
We are excited to celebrate the wonderful diversity of polar research with you today.
The first ever Polar Pride was celebrated last year, with 49 countries participating. An offshoot of the International Day of LGBTQ+ people in STEM, Polar Pride celebrates LGBTQ+ Polar researchers.
Polar Pride is part of a wider programme of work to promote diversity in polar science. Work in this space includes Pride in Polar Research, AccessibilityiIn Polar Research and Polar Impact.
