Update to the MEaSUREs InSAR-Based Antarctica Ice Velocity Map available

Monday, May 22nd, 2017

1measuresVersion 2 of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Antarctica Ice Velocity Map has been made available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The Map provides comprehensive, high-resolution, digital mosaics of ice motion in Antarctica assembled from multiple satellite interferometric synthetic-aperture radar systems.

Major updates to the data set include data from 2011-2016 acquired from RADARSAT-2, Sentinel-1, TerraSAR-X, and TanDEM-X. Landsat-8 optical imagery also was integrated into the data to improve coverage.

More information on the update, and access to the data and documentation, can be found at: http://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0484.html
