Victoria Heinrich

Victoria (Vicki) Heinrich is a psychological sciences PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania, Hobart, Australia. Her research is investigating weather-related decision-making, risk perceptions, and environmental information use in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic regions using metacognition, social, and behavioural theories. She has worked as a weather observer for the Bureau of Meteorology including deployment to the Australian Antarctic Stations. She is interested people’s experiences in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic, human behaviour and cognition, and improving weather services products, usability, and education. Vicki is involved with the Polar Prediction Project, Societal and Economic Research and Applications (PPP-SERA) task team.
