European Meteorological Society (EMS) Annual Meeting 2025
We are pleased to announce the session “The Cryosphere and Cold Region Processes in the Climate System” at the upcoming European Meteorological Society (EMS) Annual Meeting 2025. This session will focus on the complex interactions between the atmosphere and the cryosphere, covering topics such as, but not limited to:
- Glaciers and snow dynamics in a changing climate
- Permafrost evolution and its meteorological drivers
- Sea ice variability and its feedbacks on climate
- High-resolution modeling and remote sensing of cryospheric processes
- Extreme events and their impacts on the cryosphere
We welcome contributions from researchers working on observational, modeling, and theoretical approaches related to glaciers, permafrost, sea ice, snow, and other cryospheric components. This session aims to foster interdisciplinary discussions and enhance our understanding of cryosphere-climate interactions across different spatial and temporal scales.
