I am Brazilian. In Brazil, I studied conservation and archaeology. I have a PhD in Heritage Preservation (2022), which was developed at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV, Spain). My main area of research is the preservation of remains from the archaeological sites located in the South Shetland Islands (Antarctica). Such research has been developed within the Laboratory of Antarctic Studies in Human Sciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Leach/UFMG, Brazil). The laboratory develops research within the scope of the Brazilian Antarctic Program, in the areas of archaeology, heritage, and history, among others. I am currently a researcher at the Center for Valorization and Transfer of Technologies/Center for Research Network in Anthropology at Iscte-Knowledge and Innovation (CVTT/CRIA-Istce, Portugal), where I carry out postgraduate research on intangible heritage in Antarctica, based on anthropological research strategies.
