International Symposium on Geomatics, Remote Sensing, and Climate Change in the Arctic, Antarctica, and High Mountain Asia

International Symposium on Geomatics, Remote Sensing, and Climate Change in the Arctic, Antarctica, and High Mountain Asia

When

25th September 2024 - 27th September 2024
All Day

Where

Event Type

The Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia are considered to be the most sensitive regions to global climate change, driven by cross-spheric interactions. Changes in these regions have a significant impact on the living environment and societal developments. The rapid development of satellite remote sensing technology has facilitated the observation and retrieval of critical environmental parameters in the Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia. This symposium is set to promote academic exchange and cooperation among scholars in related fields and to discuss the latest trends, new theories, methods and achievements.

Hosted by
Center for Spatial Information Science and Sustainable Development Applications
College of Surveying and Geo-informatics, Tongji University

Venue
Tongji University, Shanghai, China.

Topics

  • Remote sensing technology for monitoring changes in the climate and environment of the Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia
