SCAR Action Group RINGS will organize a 4-day workshop with the primary aim of generating synergies and international cooperation to develop more accurate and complete reference bed topography data for robust assessments of ice discharge from all around Antarctica. The secondary goal is to discuss relevant science plans for the ice sheet's marginal zone.
We welcome both Action Group members and non-members from multiple disciplines related to RINGS. We uphold SCAR's values of diversity and inclusion and strongly encourage early-career researchers to attend the workshop. Full information about this workshop is available in the RINGS Workshop news item.
Due to uncertainty with the pandemic situation, the RINGS group took the decision to postpone the workshop from early March to the end of June 2022 and discussion about the format is continuing. While a face-to-face workshop is prefered, there may be some opportunities for virtual participation, or the workshop may be moved entirely online. More information will be available in March.
To register your interest, please visit the registration page. The official registration deadline has passed but the registration system will remain open leading up to the workshop, and late registrations will be accomodated if possible.
Please get in touch with us at info@scar.org if you'd like to advertise an event.
