21 August 2016 – Action Group Meeting at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur
The Action Group on Geological heritage and geoconservation will hold its first formal meeting at XXXIV SCAR in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting will address the emerging issue of geological heritage and geo-conservation in Antarctica, and in considering the diversity of geological, paleontological and geomorphological features of the Antarctic, develop a set of principles and criteria for identifying, classifying, protecting, managing and promoting geo-heritage in the Antarctic.
The meeting will be held on the 21st August, 8am to 11am, at the University of Malaya, IPS Building (Azalea room).
