AGU Fall Meeting will be will be online everywhere and remain the global convening meeting for the Earth and space sciences community. The theme will be "Shaping the Future of Science" and will take place from 7 – 11 December 2020 for concentrated content, with events extended around the meeting from 1 – 17 December to minimize scheduling conflicts.
If science and health professionals tell us it is safe for groups to convene, AGU will host a regional gathering in San Francisco. Depending on where you're located (and if it's safe), you can create your own mini-#AGU20 watch party or hub. We'll offer guidance if that's of interest.
With more than 1,000 sessions as well as hours of networking and poster hall time, all of them will be scheduled to work for multiple time zones around the world. Content will also be live and on-demand so you can watch (or binge) at your convenience.
Fall Meeting sessions will include:
We're testing a variety of technology to serve you and become the foundation for the future of AGU Fall Meetings. From now until Fall Meeting, we will offer numerous opportunities to help you learn how to use these new tools, including training sessions and open hours for "hands-on" demonstrations. There will be a registration fee that is about 50% less than the in-person rate and lower rates for graduate student and other groups.
We assure you that Fall Meeting 2020 will continue to bring a diverse and relevant set of topics to help move Earth and space science forward.
Abstract submission is open until 29 July 2020. Registration will open in October.
